Disappointed with the “iPad” name

Okay, let’s hear it.  What do you dislike about the new “iPad”? You have had a chance to see a lot of information about the new product from Apple.  Now it’s time to let all of our complaints start.  I really only have one major complaint.  The name.  In my book, Steve Jobs has invented the three best devices I have owned in 36 years of life.  The iPod, The iPhone, and now…the iPad.  Surely, they could have came up with a better name.  Personally, I loved the iSlate.  The iSlate seemed to have a hipness about it that I really liked.

I would have preferred the "iSlate" but I will own an iPad.

Best Choice To Protect Your iPhone

My first iPhone had to receive phone surgery after I dropped it(with a case) and the screen broke to pieces.  $150 dollar repair. I finallly lost my first iPhone to water damage. $199 for new phone.  Unfortunately, either the Otter Box had not hit the shelves or my AT&T sales person did not let me know what I needed to know.  The Otter Box was what you needed to make sure your iPhone is protected.

It’s been over a year since my replacement iPhone was placed in an Otter Box(Defender Series) and 10 drops(some from high..some from low), talking in the rain, getting caught in the rain, changing a tire in the rain, and my iPhone still works perfectly.  Don’t get me wrong, you do not want to intentionally do any of these things, but I feel safe saying that unless you drop the phone and it submerges in water or you drop it with lots of force, I think you are safe.

Give YOUR lady a Pink Otter for Valentine's Day.

I am a huge fan of the Otter Box because it completely encloses your iPhone in and gives it a “second screen.”  No scratches.  Barring the “water marks” that you can prevent now with the complimentary sticky screen cover, everything is PERFECT.  Everything remains easily accessible yet every open components from the earjacks to the ITune, Power connectors are easily closed and protected.

This is the excerpt for the Otter Box website about the Defender Series.

The OtterBox Defender Series™ for iPhone™ 3G / 3GSoffers stylish and sophisticated protection in 3 layers. First, a thin, clear membrane covers your Touch Screen to help prevent scratches and dings. Second is a hard, strong Polycarbonate skeleton that surrounds your device. Wrapped around all of this is a Silicone skin that absorbs bump and shock. Included with the case is a ClipStand holster.

The Otter Box is available in a few different colors and other models and styles exist for all types of phones.  Visit www.otterbox.com for information.  As a customer, I give it 5 stars out of 5 stars.  Very satisfied.

The only thing I hate about the White Otter Box is they didn't have it when I bought mine. 😦

With the buzz of the new Apple iPad, it seems obvious that demand might outweigh supply.  Much like the iPhone, from the original to the upgrades, it seems that people in large amounts will be camped out to make sure they are the first to get their hands on the newest Steve Jobs toy.

iPad will be great to the music fan.

Steve Jobs with the iPad.

A salesman for The Apple Store told me that they expect the iPad to be available for purchase  April 1, 2010.  After Steve Jobs said about 90 says, this sounds about right.  April Fool’s falls on a Thursday.
